New Infrastructure: Oracle and Cloudflare

We generally don’t talk too much about DevOps because thanks to our partnership with platformOS we don’t have to. They ensure it just works and they work tirelessly to ensure Reliability, Flexibility, Performance and Security are the cornerstone of the ecosystem.
We’re excited to announce that, in partnership with platformOS, we have just launched our dedicated UK (London) Oracle/Cloudflare stack (OCI). By design you won’t notice any changes, from 1st April 2025 you will be able to seamlessly launch new sites onto the new stack and experience the same level of service that keeps DevOps firmly behind-the-scenes.
However, the long term opportunity is huge as we will have more control and flexibility than ever before to take Siteglide to new heights. We will be leveraging all that Oracle and Cloudflare have to offer, including dynamic image optimisation, something we’ve long talked about. We will also be able to tailor the entire ecosystem to suit the ever-changing requirements and opportunities so that you and your customers are always at the forefront of what’s possible.
Those already on our Reseller model will see us take it even further enabling you to totally control how you bill your customers, benefit from economies of scale unit pricing and ensure we meet our core vision of making Siteglide the right choice for ANY project no matter how big or small.
We’ll soon be announcing more information on how you can move existing live sites (on the London AWS datacenter) to the new London Oracle/Cloudflare stack. We’ve worked closely with platformOS to make this as simple as possible, the Site Copy feature has been extended to work cross-stack which is a huge feat given the different architecture (AWS vs Oracle). A big thank you to the platformOS team for making this possible. The only part that is impossible to automate will be domains/DNS but this will be as simple as just updating the Nameservers or CNAMEs. We’re working on leveraging Cloudflare to make DNS management simpler/better but initially the focus has been on parity to make the transition seamless.
Stay tuned for more information but 2025 is a groundbreaking year already, we’re extremely excited to push the boundaries and continue to work with such amazing agencies across the globe.
